judging at IDS Hockenheim

The heads of the IDS (international drift series) asked me to judge their Pro and Street class round at Hockenheim Oct. 2nd and 3rd.

With me was Harry Müller, a well known instructor. We designed a small but nice track in the paddocks of the Hockenheimring. The track was not that fast, but due to a very bumpy surface pretty technical.

I had good fun judging the event, even tho some drivers went crazy because of our decitions. But missunderstanding happens, when you miss the drivers briefing or half of it.

Like usual we had some discussions afterwards, but most of the drivers were happy with their score. Drifting is a judged sport, if you dont get what the judges asked for in the briefing, its hard to get a good result.

All in all the feedback was very good, and i was asked to do this again. And to the drivers who still think they get better results by complaining: stop complaining, and start drifting!
